This year, I’m lacing up my skates for the 11 Day Power Play in honor of my dad. In December 2024, he was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare form of blood cancer. In March, he underwent a bone marrow transplant—an incredibly tough and brave step on his road to recovery. Watching him fight with such strength and resilience has inspired me more than words can say.
By playing in this event, I’m not just playing hockey. I’m playing for him, for others like him, and to support critical cancer research, patient support programs, and those still in the fight. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to better treatments, better care, and a world with more survivors.
