This summer, I am committing to something that is both a challenge and a cause very close to my heart. I'll be participating in the #11DPP Community Shift, a demanding three-hour marathon of endurance. But the strain I'll experience is nothing compared to the daily battles faced by those suffering from cancer.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen the courage, and the toll it takes, to fight this disease first hand in the eyes of my family members– my father, who faces the harsh realities of pancreatic cancer, my sister, who fights bravely against aggressive melanoma, and my uncle, whose life has become impacted by esophageal cancer. Their fights have inspired me to step up and contribute to the ongoing battle against this disease.
