This summer, I am committing to something that is both a challenge and a cause very close to my heart. I'll be participating in the #11DPP Community Shift, a demanding three-hour marathon of endurance. But the strain I'll experience is nothing compared to the daily battles faced by those suffering from cancer.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen the courage, and the toll it takes, to fight this disease first hand in the eyes of my family members– my father, who faces the harsh realities of pancreatic cancer, my sister, who fights bravely against aggressive melanoma, and my uncle, whose life has become impacted by esophageal cancer. Their fights have inspired me to step up and contribute to the ongoing battle against this disease.
By supporting me in the 11 Day Power Play, you're not just cheering me on; you're helping to fund crucial cancer research and wellness programs at institutions like Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days, and Oishei Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
I invite you to learn more about this impactful event at 11daypowerplay.com.
Your support means more than just a donation; it's a beacon of hope in our collective fight against cancer – a fight that many of us know all too well. Together, let’s #PutCancerOnIce and show that our spirit and solidarity can make a monumental difference.
With heartfelt thanks, Marc Schulte
