11 Day Power Play

For many of us, we have been impacted by cancer. We have watched family members and/or close friends fight this battle and come out both winning and losing. I have personally lost grandparents, aunts, uncles and mentors to cancer and I have seen it impact so many other lives. So when I was asked to be a part of the 11 Day Power Play, I said yes even though I have never played organized ice hockey. I decide to skate and help raise money, to help others who need help in their fight.
This year before putting on my skates for a 3 hour shift, I am going to take on the toughest challenge of my life but it is nothing compared to the challenge that cancer patients face. On October 15,2023, I am going to start hiking to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to raise money to support the 11 Day Power Play. It is going to be a daunting 8 day hike that will cover an elevation of 19,341 feet with the summit night being a grueling 12 hour hike. With the accomplishment of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro and proudly wearing my 11 Day Power Play jersey. The goal is to raise a $1.00 for every foot of elevation I climb to reach a goal of $19,341. This is where I need your help. You can make any standard donation you like or if you would like to donate per foot refer to the chart below and make the donation in the amount shown.
