We're back to the original format and looking to shatter the Guinness World Record. More importantly we are looking to raise $1,000,000 for cancer research that ALL stays local and gives hope to families right in our own backyard and I need your support, again! Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oshei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program. My inspiration/motivation to take part in this record breaking event for a 2nd time is first and foremost my mom Sherrie, who lost her battle with cancer shortly after the 1st event in 2017. Her original prognosis was extremely bleak being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that was spread to her bones, stomach, and liver. She was given 6 days, 6 weeks, or 6 months. She was put on palliative care just to get her comfortable. She ended up fighting a super courageous fight for over 2 years under her motto "fight like the Irish." She was even in remission for a short time before the cancer returned with a vengeance and ultimately took her from us at the young age of 50. She remains my inspiration along with my mother-in-law Gail and my Aunt Debbie, to take part in this event until we finally put an end to cancer. Thanks so much for you continued support and generous donations!
