On Tuesday June 18th I will be skating a 3 hour shift for the 11 Day Power Play. This is my 4th year of playing in the The 11 Day Power Play Community Shift with my dad and Charlie. Everyone know someone affected by cancer and this event has raised over $10 million to help fund cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

My mother in law Diane has been a patient at Roswell and will be starting treatment for multiple myeloma. The money raised by the 11 Day Power Play has funded a blood cancer lab that specifically looks for treatments and cures for this type of cancer.

This year is extra important for my family, but also because cancer research funding has been cut all over the United States. The more funding they have, the more drugs they test, and the more drugs they test, the closer we get to a cure.

For a $50 donation, I'll give away one of my 11 Day Power Play jerseys from last year, and for whoever makes the biggest donation I'll give you one of my jerseys from this year. The first time I did 11 Day Power Play it was the first jersey I ever got, but now I i have dozens of them!
