Thank you for visiting my page! I am very honored to have been chosen as one of forty players playing in the world's longest hockey game to fight cancer outside in the elements. That's right 252 hours of hockey!
This event and organization is extremely important to me. Since 2014 the 11 Day Power Play has raised over 5 Million dollars, and directly benefited our local WNY community! Proceeds of the event will continue to support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
I will be playing this years event in honor of my hero - my dad, who lost his battle in 2017 (#ShamrockStrong) and has inspired me to become actively involved in the WNY communities fight against this horrible disease. I will also be playing in honor of my Aunt Carol, my mothers sister, who passed in 2020 from cancer. And I will be playing in honor of my 3 year old cousin Caitlin, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently at the Maintenance Chemo stage and doing really well!
As a proud Buffalonian, I cant think of a better organization to make a charitable donation to, as the money raised for this event directly impacts our WNY community. THANK YOU for taking the time to visit my page and I truly appreciate any type of donation that you can make.
