I'm once again lacing up my skates to play in the 11 Day Power Play - the annual charity hockey game based out of Buffalo, NY that raises money for cancer research. This year I am playing to honor my grandmother, who continues her fight with myelodyplastic syndrome; in memory of my Uncle Dana, who lost his battle with colon cancer; and to support my coworker and friend, Jodi Hoffman. Jodi is a very well-respected teacher at our district, who is admired by her students and athletes alike. She is currently in remission. I'm grateful to skate for them and for everyone affected by cancer. Any donations toward my goal are greatly appreciated!
