I need your support! I have been selected as an alternate player for the world's longest hockey game to fight cancer outside in the elements. That's right 252 hours of hockey! Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
As Many of you know I was personally diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma in February of 2018 and underwent 6 months of chemotherapy at Roswell. You also know we are a hockey family. After Adam and Nick played in the 2018 Community shift in my honor. In 2019 I was in remission and healthy enough to join the team for this incredible fundraiser.
I look forward to being a part of all the team activity throughout the year. I may have the opportunity to take part in the actual game if someone on the team is not able to play for any reason. They have only selected 5 alternates for this incredible event and I am very honored to be one of them.
