I need your support please! More importantly, cancer patients need your support please! I am one of forty players playing in the world's longest hockey game to fight cancer outside in the elements. 252 hours of hockey over 11 days! Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days, and the Roswell Park/Oishei Children's Hospital Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
We will be setting the world record for the longest hockey game ever played. Our team will not be allowed to leave the rink premises for 11 days. The format is that we will skate four-hour shifts, sleep eight hours, skate four hours, etc. for 11 straight days.
I am playing the 11 Day Power Play in memory of my late brother Jim, Jr. who died of lung cancer as a non-smoker, and too young at that. Jim was born with special needs, both physical and developmental, so that cancer swipe felt particularly unpalatable. I am skating for my Dad, Jim, Sr. who survived biliary cancer in his late 60's and can't wait to see this event, where he will be 86 years old. And for those in our Sullivan's Brewing Company extended family, like Pat Brown, Paul Murphy, and Hal Morlock, who succumbed to cancer. And for employees, friends, and customers who have been affected directly or indirectly by cancer.

Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer!
