My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was a senior in high school. I still remember her coming to visit me in college and seeing her in the stands at one of my hockey games wearing a wig for the first time. Although she was able to win her fight back then and has been in remission for 16 years, unfortunately her cancer has returned. I am playing in the #11DPP Community Shift Saturday June 22 from 3-6pm in honor of her. In addition to my mom, I will also be playing for my uncle John who lost his battle with cancer two years ago, my brother in law Kevin, and my grandpa and grandma.
