Since 2017, I have participated in this event as a player and as a volunteer. This is a very near and dear, to my heart, fundraiser for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I play to support the many friends and family I have not only lost to this disease, but for the many that continue to fight for their lives daily. Most everyone I know has been impacted in some way, shape or form by this disease and we play to raise needed funds to support the necessary research to help those affected. It is always special to me when I look up from the ice to see family and friends supporting the cause either as a spectator or volunteer. I really hope you can all come down and support this fight and help support me in my fundraising efforts. Every little bit helps add a piece to the big picture.
