I'm playing in the 11 Day Power Play, and I'm doing it in memory of family members we've lost to cancer. Like many families, we've felt firsthand what this disease takes - and that's why this means more to me than just another beer league pickup game.
I'm skating as part of the Dunkirk Falcons club, and as a team, we're working toward a goal of $10,000 raised. Personally, I'm aiming for $1,000, the most I've ever set as my yearly goal.
This is not something I usually do. I don't often ask for this kind of support. But now, more than ever, funding for cancer research - especially private research - is critical. I firmly believe that real progress depends on it.
If you're able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot. And if not, sharing this helps just as much.
Every dollar goes toward making a difference in the fight against cancer.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this and for any support you can give.
Also, shoutout to the Buffalo Brews for winning the league championship 🏆
