This summer will mark my 3rd time skating in the 11 Day Power Play with my Cross Check Cancer teammates. Cancer has impacted many in my circle of friends and family, and within the Western NY hockey community. I'm proud to call myself a player, supporter and advocate of the 11 Day Power Play - an event where players like myself come together to raise awareness and money to fund the ongoing fight against cancer and to support those - and their families - who are in that fight right now.
During our community shift, the Cross Check Cancer team will skate for three consecutive hours - one of many teams skating all day, every day, for 11 days straight. Please consider a donation to help me reach my goal of raising $3,000 this year.
I'll be skating in memory of my grandfather, Fred Flynn, who grew up as a bruising defensemen in his native state of Massachusetts. I'll be skating in memory of my wife's Uncle Butch. I'll be skating in memory of Andrew Bouquard, brother of our team captain, Kevin. I'll be skating in support of my Uncle Will, who continues his fight and recovery. I'll be skating in support of the coaches and leaders in the Southtown Stars Amateur Hockey Association who are fighting the good fight right now.
Please support me to #PutCancerOnIce. Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.

Checks can be made payable to The 11 Day Power Play. PO. Box 4 Buffalo, NY 14223
Finally, in additional to your generous contributions, I'll be adding an additional $50 for each goal I score during the game and $25 for each assist. I accept pledges of any denomination as extra motivation as I train and prepare for the skate!
