2025 will be our 8th year taking part in the 11 Day Power Play. That may seem like a long time, but in reality it has flown by, and I remember that first shift like it happened last week. Last year, our team surpassed $100,000, but our work is not finished. I will continue this fight for friends and family who are battling cancer, have sadly lost their battle but we carry on their memory, and support those who care for cancer patients.

In 2022, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, so this cause and what it stands for took on a whole new meaning. She came through her battle, and is now cancer free, but the reality is, one's battle is never truly over. The mental healing, and continued physical side effects from treatment, continue to this day. The anxiety one feels over every small thing with one's body, and the fear that cancer could one day come back, never fades. Overall, her prognosis is good, but we continue to to rely on the cancer support services offered by Roswell Park...some of which are directly funded through efforts like The 11 Day Power Play.

Additionally, we support Make A Wish, Camp Good Days, and Oishei Children's Hospital which provide additional cancer support services to children in the WNY community.
"What we can do, and what we will do, is offer hope."

I need your support! I am playing in the #11DPP Community Shift this summer. It will be a grueling three hour shift but nothing compared to what cancer patients endure. Please support me to #PutCancerOnIce. Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days, Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program and The Petey Fund.
