I am back for 2022, rested up after our incredible run to the Guinness Book of World Records setting event in 2021, where we raised over $2.1 million dollars towards cancer research and cancer supporting programs here in Western New York. My team and I are back to continue supporting this great cause through the game of ice hockey. I will continue this fight for friends and family who are battling cancer, have sadly lost their battle but we carry on their memory, and support those who care for cancer patients. We continue the fight, because theirs never ends and neither will our efforts. Two phrases from last year's event stick with me to this day...
"What we can do, and what we will do, is offer hope."
"Our work matters...this work matters, and I'm going to continue to play in this event, until there is nobody else to play for."
It's hard to not get behind thoughts like that!
I need your support! I am playing in #11DPP Community Shift this summer. It will be a grueling three hour shift but nothing compared to what cancer patients endure. Please support me to #PutCancerOnIce. Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
Thank you for all your support. Sending peace, health, and love to you and yours!
