This summer, I'll be participating in the #11DPP Community Shift. While the three-hour shift on the ice will be a challenge, it's nothing compared to the battles faced every day by those affected by cancer.
This cause is deeply personal to me. As someone living with leukemia, I understand firsthand the physical, emotional, and mental toll that cancer can take. I also lost my dad to cancer two years ago, a loss that continues to inspire me to support the fight against this disease and help other families facing similar challenges.
I'm skating to help #PutCancerOnIce and raise funds for organizations making a real difference in the lives of patients and families. Proceeds from the event support cutting-edge research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days, the Golisano Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program, and The Petey Fund.
If you're able, I would be grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring hope to those battling cancer and moves us closer to better treatments and cures.
Checks can be made payable to:
The 11 Day Power PlayP.O. Box 4Buffalo, NY 14223
Together, we can honor those we've lost, support those still fighting, and make a difference in the fight against cancer.
