I am AGAIN one of forty players playing in the world's longest hockey game to fight cancer outside in the elements. That's right 252 hours of hockey! Outdoors! Buffalo RiverWorks! Be There in November 2021!
This is my second go at the Guinness record for the longest game. Firstly, many thanks to my wife Nancy for her love and support in my 11 Day endeavors, without which my being in this event would not be possible. And a big shout out to the rest of my family and friends for all of their support!
I am again playing in honor of family that have died from, have battled cancer, or a still in the fight: my Dad, who died from Lung Cancer in 1990, and my Aunt Anne Assing, my Brother-In-Law John Dolan, neighborhood friend Dave Filsinger, as well as survivors, my Cousins Mark and Paul, my Brother-In-Law Jim Van Buskirk, friends Barb C, MaryAnne W, Kathy H. And John M., one of my Hockey Teammates for the past 43 years! And then of course, my Brother-In-Law Tom Ruh, who continue to battle this disease. It is for those that are still in this fight, and who may soon be fighting, that really need your donation. PUCK YOU cancer!!!
No amount is too small in this fight!
Proceeds of the event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Roswell Park and Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.

Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer!
This donation is in honor of my dad, Fred Mellenger, who passed away in 2007 from a long battle with leukemia. Miss you dad - you are not forgotten! These wonderful hockey players are helping to work to create a world without cancer - God Bless you all!

Reggie was a dear friend to so many. He lost his cancer battle last month. He would love to know he is helping others in some way. Thank you Steve!
