The game of hockey is one of passion, and we can think of no one who exemplified this more than our leader, John Muckler.
His career is one that began at the age of 15 by leaving his humble beginnings in Paris, Ontario to pursue his dream with the Detroit Hettche, ultimately culminating with numerous championships at every level of professional hockey. A five time Stanley Cup Champion, he is a shining example of perseverance and commitment, which is a cornerstone of those who love to play the game.
But John will always claim his greatest achievement to be his family, and the lessons of generosity and giving back to those less fortunate that he instilled into those that were blessed to have spent time with him. With this in mind, the family humbly asks that you consider making a donation to the 11 Day Power Play in his honor.
Proceeds from this fantastic event will support cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Make-A-Wish WNY, Camp Good Days and Oishei Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Programs.

Coach, my memories of answering the "kids" phone number in the middle of the night and getting my father so he could talk to you, living in L.A. and you coming out of the locker room to see me, getting invited to the 1991 All-Star game with my family, but most importantly, getting to be a part of the Friday Pizza night will forever be my fondest memory. This is where I was lucky enough to get to spend time with "Coach," his wife, his family and mine. Coach and Audrey would share stories of my parents with my children. I am incredibly honored that John, Audrey and his family found my dad to be as "famous" as John was. I know in my heart that Kathy and Audrey will forever be connected. My baby girl, our funny connected birthdays, my finding a home in Buffalo where I visited as a young lady was the finally connection that brought my parents so close to me. I am a blessed woman to be connected to you and your family. I am forever blessed. Thank you and I love each and every one of you.

IN MEMORY OF JOHN MUCKLER
I met and began working with John in 1991 with the Buffalo Sabres. Thirty years later, I am still in the league largely because of John. He treated me great, and we had 6 amazing years of memories. We stayed in touch, and will miss him dearly
